What We’re Drinking Now: Ethiopia Mordecofe

When you travel to Ethiopia to source coffee, you know you’re in for a trip. Our last harvest trip, however, was next level. Adam, Gabriel and Eric from our Coffee Sourcing team were here on an epic two-week trip covering over a thousand miles with visits to all of our Ethiopian producers at Duromina, Nano Challa, Chelbessa and Mordecofe.No matter what, trips to Ethiopia are physically exhausting. It takes 26 hours of travel just to get to the capital city of Addis Ababa. From there you are faced with days of bouncing on pot-holed roads, orange dust in your eyes and up your nose, too much coffee, not enough sleep, countless flat tires and jet lag.
